Creating a starting position

We will create a player controller and our ship will follow that controller position with a lerp function. To start, we need to create a starting position for our space fighter. I created a starting position null and added it to the scene, setting it at a -2 on the Y.

Then in my script, I made the player inherit the new position at the start using the Start() function and connecting it to a serialized gameobject.

Now, when the player starts the game, the ship automatically moves into the correct starting position but I can edit the ship in the scene view as it is centered on the x/y/z axis.
